Product description
This canvas artwork dedicated to Marcus Aurelius depicts the solemn departure of the Roman emperor for the Second Germanic Campaign in AD 178, one of the most symbolic episodes of the Marcomannic Wars fought along the Danube frontier. Combining Ancient Roman history, imperial art, and classical culture, the composition transforms a defining historical moment into a striking decorative artwork.
At the center of the scene, Marcus Aurelius rides through the streets of Ancient Rome, wearing the imperial paludamentum and escorted by members of the Praetorian Guard. The philosopher-emperor appears calm and determined, embodying the sense of duty and leadership that defined his reign during the wars against the Marcomanni, Quadi, and Sarmatian Iazyges.
The Roman crowd witnesses the imperial profectio with a mixture of pride and uncertainty as the military procession leaves the Eternal City for the Danube frontier. The artwork captures the historical atmosphere of the final major expansionist phase of the Roman Empire during the second century AD.
Dominating the upper section of the composition is the Triumphal Arch of Marcus Aurelius, inspired by surviving reliefs preserved in the Capitoline Museums and reused in the Arch of Constantine. Scenes of military victories, imperial clemency, and the submission of Rome’s enemies celebrate the glory of the empire and Marcus Aurelius’ role as both emperor and commander.
More than a historical illustration, this canvas pays tribute not only to the Marcomannic Wars but also to the enduring legacy of Marcus Aurelius, one of the most admired Roman emperors and the author of the Meditations. A symbol of discipline, responsibility, and Stoic philosophy, he remains one of the most influential figures of the ancient world.
Perfect for enthusiasts of Ancient Rome, Roman emperors, Roman military history, Stoicism, and classical historical art, this canvas print brings one of the most iconic moments of the Roman Empire into a refined and meaningful piece of wall décor.

Our Mission
Our project is a playful‑cultural experience designed for anyone who wants to live history in a new way:
from teenagers, who can approach the great events of the past in an engaging and enjoyable manner, to enthusiasts who wish to enrich their homes with artistic canvases capable of elegantly telling the stories and protagonists of our nation’s past.
The characters we portray are not simply figures from history: they are the roots of our identity, the voices that shaped our culture, our way of thinking, and even the places we inhabit.
Beyond visual impact, we want to restore the pleasure of touch: not only through the natural texture of cotton, but also through the tactile depth and glossy highlights achieved during printing — details that add dimension and a uniquely sensory feel.
In an age dominated by digital screens, our canvases invite you to rediscover an authentic, physical, and sensorial experience.
It is a product that blends quality and culture — but above all, it is an invitation to rediscover the pride of belonging to an extraordinary history.
Because being Italian means carrying with us a heritage that deserves to be celebrated.
Where are our products made?
Our products are entirely made in Italy, within the Over S.r.l. facility — a company active in the cardboard sector since 1978.
In 2025, a production department dedicated to digital printing for visual communication was introduced, allowing us to combine industrial expertise and aesthetic research within a single production space.
Every stage of the process takes place in‑house: from design to printing, from production to packaging, all the way to shipping. Everything is managed in our warehouse, giving us direct control over quality, materials, and timing.
IBAM is a registered trademark of Over Srl: a choice that ensures 100% Italian production, a short supply chain, and high quality standards.
For us, ‘Made in Italy’ is not a label — it is a concrete process, followed step by step.
What materials do we use for our products?
We place great importance on the quality of our canvas prints, made from 100% cotton — plastic‑free and naturally eco‑friendly.
We use GREENGUARD Gold‑certified inks, which ensure vibrant colors and exceptional long‑term stability, enhancing every historical and iconographic detail.
Likewise, for our cat beds we use corrugated cardboard, a fully eco‑sustainable material thanks to its recyclable nature.
A choice that combines environmental respect, functionality, and care for our four‑legged friends.
Difference between Textured Finish and Flat Finish
The textured finish allows for extremely realistic reproductions, adding depth and three‑dimensionality to the image.
Thanks to the use of up to nine layers of matte and glossy UV varnish, it creates a raised effect that simulates real brushstrokes and enhances the most distinctive details of the illustration.
High‑definition flat illustrations, on the other hand, use a single layer of matte UV varnish: they have no relief, but ensure vibrant, stable colors that remain resistant over time and to sunlight.
