Product description
This canvas artwork dedicated to Milan during the Italian Risorgimento reconstructs the city at the time of the Five Days of Milan (1848), one of the defining events of the Italian unification movement and the struggle for independence from Austrian rule. Combining historical cartography, Italian history, and cultural heritage, the artwork offers a detailed representation of nineteenth-century Milan at the heart of the Risorgimento.
Inspired by historical maps of pre-unification Milan, particularly the 1832 map created by William Barnard Clarke, the composition depicts many of the city's most important landmarks as they appeared in 1848, including the Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano), the Arch of Peace (Arco della Pace), La Scala Opera House, Teatro Carcano, and the Arena Civica. The city emerges as a political and cultural center of the Italian Risorgimento, shaped by patriotic movements, popular uprisings, and major urban developments.
Along the sides of the composition appear some of the most influential figures of nineteenth-century Italian history. These include Napoleon Bonaparte, who transformed Milan into the capital of the Napoleonic Kingdom of Italy; Field Marshal Josef Radetzky, symbol of Austrian domination; and key leaders of the Five Days uprising such as Carlo Cattaneo, Gabrio Casati, and Cesare Correnti.
The artwork also celebrates the cultural atmosphere of Romantic-era Milan through the presence of Alessandro Manzoni and Giuseppe Verdi, whose literature and music became powerful expressions of Italian national identity. The historical narrative unfolds from the Napoleonic era through the Austrian-controlled Kingdom of Lombardy–Venetia, leading to the revolutionary events of March 1848.
At the heart of the canvas are the Five Days of Milan, with scenes of barricades filling the city streets, Austrian troops retreating from the city, the Italian tricolor raised above the Duomo, and the formation of the provisional government. These events marked a turning point in the movement that eventually led to the unification of Italy and the creation of the modern Italian nation.
Perfect for enthusiasts of Italian history, the Risorgimento, historic Milan, and patriotic Italian art, this historical canvas print transforms the memory of the Five Days of Milan into a striking decorative artwork rich in cultural and historical significance.

Our Mission
Our project is a playful‑cultural experience designed for anyone who wants to live history in a new way:
from teenagers, who can approach the great events of the past in an engaging and enjoyable manner, to enthusiasts who wish to enrich their homes with artistic canvases capable of elegantly telling the stories and protagonists of our nation’s past.
The characters we portray are not simply figures from history: they are the roots of our identity, the voices that shaped our culture, our way of thinking, and even the places we inhabit.
Beyond visual impact, we want to restore the pleasure of touch: not only through the natural texture of cotton, but also through the tactile depth and glossy highlights achieved during printing — details that add dimension and a uniquely sensory feel.
In an age dominated by digital screens, our canvases invite you to rediscover an authentic, physical, and sensorial experience.
It is a product that blends quality and culture — but above all, it is an invitation to rediscover the pride of belonging to an extraordinary history.
Because being Italian means carrying with us a heritage that deserves to be celebrated.
Where are our products made?
Our products are entirely made in Italy, within the Over S.r.l. facility — a company active in the cardboard sector since 1978.
In 2025, a production department dedicated to digital printing for visual communication was introduced, allowing us to combine industrial expertise and aesthetic research within a single production space.
Every stage of the process takes place in‑house: from design to printing, from production to packaging, all the way to shipping. Everything is managed in our warehouse, giving us direct control over quality, materials, and timing.
IBAM is a registered trademark of Over Srl: a choice that ensures 100% Italian production, a short supply chain, and high quality standards.
For us, ‘Made in Italy’ is not a label — it is a concrete process, followed step by step.
What materials do we use for our products?
We place great importance on the quality of our canvas prints, made from 100% cotton — plastic‑free and naturally eco‑friendly.
We use GREENGUARD Gold‑certified inks, which ensure vibrant colors and exceptional long‑term stability, enhancing every historical and iconographic detail.
Likewise, for our cat beds we use corrugated cardboard, a fully eco‑sustainable material thanks to its recyclable nature.
A choice that combines environmental respect, functionality, and care for our four‑legged friends.
Difference between Textured Finish and Flat Finish
The textured finish allows for extremely realistic reproductions, adding depth and three‑dimensionality to the image.
Thanks to the use of up to nine layers of matte and glossy UV varnish, it creates a raised effect that simulates real brushstrokes and enhances the most distinctive details of the illustration.
High‑definition flat illustrations, on the other hand, use a single layer of matte UV varnish: they have no relief, but ensure vibrant, stable colors that remain resistant over time and to sunlight.
