Product description
This canvas print celebrates one of the brightest seasons of the Roman Empire: the Antonine dynasty, reconstructed through authoritative sources and transformed into imagery to recount an age of stability, culture, and good governance.
The Domus Antoniniana takes shape here as a dynastic journey that, from Hadrian, leads to Marcus Aurelius and his son Commodus, spanning nearly a century of imperial history.
The narrative begins with Hadrian, a cultivated ruler attentive to political continuity. After the death of his designated heir, Aelius Caesar, he chose as successor Titus Aurelius Antoninus, a balanced and respected man who had already served as proconsul of Asia. Upon his accession in 138, the Senate granted him the title Pius, acknowledging his loyalty and continuity with his predecessor. His long reign ensured internal peace and prosperity, while he carefully prepared the succession by adopting his son‑in‑law Marcus Aurelius.
Marcus, educated in a refined and bilingual environment, was both emperor and philosopher. His Meditations, written in Greek, reflect an ideal of rule grounded in moral discipline. Upon the death of Antoninus Pius in 161, Marcus Aurelius shared power with Lucius Verus, establishing a diarchy: Lucius was entrusted with the campaigns in Parthia, Media, and Armenia, while Marcus remained in Rome to govern the empire. Lucius’ death in 169 returned Marcus to sole rule.
The following years were marked by long and difficult wars along the Danube against the Quadi, Marcomanni, and Sarmatian Iazyges, while the plague weakened the empire. In 177 he elevated his son Commodus to co‑emperor, following the rebellion of Avidius Cassius. Upon Marcus’ death in 180, Commodus inherited an empire still solid, though his own reign ended tragically with a conspiracy in 192.
Despite the tensions, the age of the Antonines was remembered as a golden era, a symbol of balance and prosperity. This canvas restores its grandeur, transforming the history of the Domus Antoniniana into a work that celebrates a dynasty fundamental to Rome and to the Western world.

Our Mission
Our project is a playful‑cultural experience designed for anyone who wants to live history in a new way:
from teenagers, who can approach the great events of the past in an engaging and enjoyable manner, to enthusiasts who wish to enrich their homes with artistic canvases capable of elegantly telling the stories and protagonists of our nation’s past.
The characters we portray are not simply figures from history: they are the roots of our identity, the voices that shaped our culture, our way of thinking, and even the places we inhabit.
Beyond visual impact, we want to restore the pleasure of touch: not only through the natural texture of cotton, but also through the tactile depth and glossy highlights achieved during printing — details that add dimension and a uniquely sensory feel.
In an age dominated by digital screens, our canvases invite you to rediscover an authentic, physical, and sensorial experience.
It is a product that blends quality and culture — but above all, it is an invitation to rediscover the pride of belonging to an extraordinary history.
Because being Italian means carrying with us a heritage that deserves to be celebrated.
Where are our products made?
Our products are entirely made in Italy, within the Over S.r.l. facility — a company active in the cardboard sector since 1978.
In 2025, a production department dedicated to digital printing for visual communication was introduced, allowing us to combine industrial expertise and aesthetic research within a single production space.
Every stage of the process takes place in‑house: from design to printing, from production to packaging, all the way to shipping. Everything is managed in our warehouse, giving us direct control over quality, materials, and timing.
IBAM is a registered trademark of Over Srl: a choice that ensures 100% Italian production, a short supply chain, and high quality standards.
For us, ‘Made in Italy’ is not a label — it is a concrete process, followed step by step.
What materials do we use for our products?
We place great importance on the quality of our canvas prints, made from 100% cotton — plastic‑free and naturally eco‑friendly.
We use GREENGUARD Gold‑certified inks, which ensure vibrant colors and exceptional long‑term stability, enhancing every historical and iconographic detail.
Likewise, for our cat beds we use corrugated cardboard, a fully eco‑sustainable material thanks to its recyclable nature.
A choice that combines environmental respect, functionality, and care for our four‑legged friends.
Difference between Textured Finish and Flat Finish
The textured finish allows for extremely realistic reproductions, adding depth and three‑dimensionality to the image.
Thanks to the use of up to nine layers of matte and glossy UV varnish, it creates a raised effect that simulates real brushstrokes and enhances the most distinctive details of the illustration.
High‑definition flat illustrations, on the other hand, use a single layer of matte UV varnish: they have no relief, but ensure vibrant, stable colors that remain resistant over time and to sunlight.
