Product description

This canvas immortalizes one of the most dramatic and powerful moments in Roman history: Mark Antony’s funeral oration in the Forum at Rome, delivered shortly after the brutal assassination of Gaius Julius Caesar on the Ides of March in 44 BC. The scene opens before the burning pyre, on the very spot where the Temple of the Divine Julius would later rise—a place that still receives flowers and offerings today. To the left of the composition stands the Curia Julia, still under construction at Caesar’s command, symbol of his unfinished political reform.

At the center of the canvas, Mark Antony dominates the crowd from atop the Rostra, the platform from which magistrates addressed the people. His elevated, solemn figure towers over the agitated mass of Roman citizens. With slow steps and a seemingly subdued voice, Antony pretends to show respect for Brutus and Cassius, the leaders of the conspiracy, declaring that he has not come to praise Caesar, but to ‘bury him.’ In truth, every sentence is a blade: he reminds the crowd that Caesar refused the crown three times, that he wept for the poor, that he never acted out of personal ambition. Each example is followed by the venomous refrain: ‘Yet Brutus says he was ambitious, and Brutus is an honorable man.’ The repetition, increasingly bitter, turns the apparent praise into condemnation.

The pivotal moment comes when Antony lifts Caesar’s blood‑stained cloak, pointing out each wound. When he names the one inflicted by Brutus—Caesar’s most beloved friend—the crowd erupts: Rome shifts from reason to fury. Antony then reveals the dictator’s will, which left money and public gardens to the people, the final proof of his generosity.

The pyre in the background burns like an omen. The crowd, now fully won over, rises against the assassins. The canvas captures the instant in which the storm is born—one that will sweep away Brutus and Cassius and open the path for Caesar’s future heir: Octavian.

Our Mission

Our project is a playful‑cultural experience designed for anyone who wants to live history in a new way:

from teenagers, who can approach the great events of the past in an engaging and enjoyable manner, to enthusiasts who wish to enrich their homes with artistic canvases capable of elegantly telling the stories and protagonists of our nation’s past.

The characters we portray are not simply figures from history: they are the roots of our identity, the voices that shaped our culture, our way of thinking, and even the places we inhabit.

Beyond visual impact, we want to restore the pleasure of touch: not only through the natural texture of cotton, but also through the tactile depth and glossy highlights achieved during printing — details that add dimension and a uniquely sensory feel.

In an age dominated by digital screens, our canvases invite you to rediscover an authentic, physical, and sensorial experience.

It is a product that blends quality and culture — but above all, it is an invitation to rediscover the pride of belonging to an extraordinary history.

Because being Italian means carrying with us a heritage that deserves to be celebrated.

Where are our products made?

Our products are entirely made in Italy, within the Over S.r.l. facility — a company active in the cardboard sector since 1978.

In 2025, a production department dedicated to digital printing for visual communication was introduced, allowing us to combine industrial expertise and aesthetic research within a single production space.

Every stage of the process takes place in‑house: from design to printing, from production to packaging, all the way to shipping. Everything is managed in our warehouse, giving us direct control over quality, materials, and timing.

IBAM is a registered trademark of Over Srl: a choice that ensures 100% Italian production, a short supply chain, and high quality standards.

For us, ‘Made in Italy’ is not a label — it is a concrete process, followed step by step.

What materials do we use for our products?

We place great importance on the quality of our canvas prints, made from 100% cotton — plastic‑free and naturally eco‑friendly.

We use GREENGUARD Gold‑certified inks, which ensure vibrant colors and exceptional long‑term stability, enhancing every historical and iconographic detail.

Likewise, for our cat beds we use corrugated cardboard, a fully eco‑sustainable material thanks to its recyclable nature.

A choice that combines environmental respect, functionality, and care for our four‑legged friends.

Difference between Textured Finish and Flat Finish

The textured finish allows for extremely realistic reproductions, adding depth and three‑dimensionality to the image.

Thanks to the use of up to nine layers of matte and glossy UV varnish, it creates a raised effect that simulates real brushstrokes and enhances the most distinctive details of the illustration.

High‑definition flat illustrations, on the other hand, use a single layer of matte UV varnish: they have no relief, but ensure vibrant, stable colors that remain resistant over time and to sunlight.
