Product description

The canvas depicts the busts of Julius Caesar, Pompey the Great, and Marcus Licinius Crassus, the protagonists of the First Triumvirate—the informal political alliance that, in 60 BC, changed the fate of the Roman Republic. The three figures, sculpted with solemn expressions, represent different forms of power: Caesar, the ambitious strategist, embodies political vision; Pompey, the victorious general, military strength; Crassus, the richest man in Rome, economic influence. The work evokes the fragile balance of a pact born of convenience, destined to break under the weight of personal rivalries.

The agreement among the three was not an official magistracy but a private understanding that, thanks to the prestige of its members, dominated political life for nearly a decade. Crassus, a powerful representative of the equestrian order, had financed Caesar’s career; Pompey, fresh from his successes in the East, was the most celebrated commander of the age. Despite the long‑standing rivalry between Crassus and Pompey, Caesar managed to bring them together, understanding that only united could they impose themselves on the Senate.

The pact provided for mutual political support: Pompey would back Caesar’s bid for the consulship, Crassus would finance it, and Caesar would secure land for Pompey’s veterans, the ratification of his measures in the East, and fiscal advantages for the equestrian order. The alliance was further strengthened by the marriage between Pompey and Julia, Caesar’s daughter.

In 59 BC, as consul, Caesar enacted the agreed reforms and then obtained command of the Gallic provinces. The triumvirate was renewed at Lucca in 56 BC, granting new offices and powers to the three. The death of Crassus in 53 BC shattered the balance: Caesar and Pompey became adversaries. In 49 BC, after crossing the Rubicon with the famous words ‘Alea iacta est,’ Caesar unleashed the civil war that culminated in the victory at Pharsalus in 48 BC and his rule over Rome as perpetual dictator.

The canvas thus invites reflection on the nature of shared power and on the ambitions that can transform an alliance into conflict.

Our Mission

Our project is a playful‑cultural experience designed for anyone who wants to live history in a new way:

from teenagers, who can approach the great events of the past in an engaging and enjoyable manner, to enthusiasts who wish to enrich their homes with artistic canvases capable of elegantly telling the stories and protagonists of our nation’s past.

The characters we portray are not simply figures from history: they are the roots of our identity, the voices that shaped our culture, our way of thinking, and even the places we inhabit.

Beyond visual impact, we want to restore the pleasure of touch: not only through the natural texture of cotton, but also through the tactile depth and glossy highlights achieved during printing — details that add dimension and a uniquely sensory feel.

In an age dominated by digital screens, our canvases invite you to rediscover an authentic, physical, and sensorial experience.

It is a product that blends quality and culture — but above all, it is an invitation to rediscover the pride of belonging to an extraordinary history.

Because being Italian means carrying with us a heritage that deserves to be celebrated.

Where are our products made?

Our products are entirely made in Italy, within the Over S.r.l. facility — a company active in the cardboard sector since 1978.

In 2025, a production department dedicated to digital printing for visual communication was introduced, allowing us to combine industrial expertise and aesthetic research within a single production space.

Every stage of the process takes place in‑house: from design to printing, from production to packaging, all the way to shipping. Everything is managed in our warehouse, giving us direct control over quality, materials, and timing.

IBAM is a registered trademark of Over Srl: a choice that ensures 100% Italian production, a short supply chain, and high quality standards.

For us, ‘Made in Italy’ is not a label — it is a concrete process, followed step by step.

What materials do we use for our products?

We place great importance on the quality of our canvas prints, made from 100% cotton — plastic‑free and naturally eco‑friendly.

We use GREENGUARD Gold‑certified inks, which ensure vibrant colors and exceptional long‑term stability, enhancing every historical and iconographic detail.

Likewise, for our cat beds we use corrugated cardboard, a fully eco‑sustainable material thanks to its recyclable nature.

A choice that combines environmental respect, functionality, and care for our four‑legged friends.

Difference between Textured Finish and Flat Finish

The textured finish allows for extremely realistic reproductions, adding depth and three‑dimensionality to the image.

Thanks to the use of up to nine layers of matte and glossy UV varnish, it creates a raised effect that simulates real brushstrokes and enhances the most distinctive details of the illustration.

High‑definition flat illustrations, on the other hand, use a single layer of matte UV varnish: they have no relief, but ensure vibrant, stable colors that remain resistant over time and to sunlight.
